One of the many issues that Andrew has is solved ?
I heard from the GI specialist tonite about the results of his endoscope. He is Negative for H. Pyloria- PTL. So what has caused his vomiting since that was cured ? I have to be honest until his endoscope last week I would not have thought this but ever since he had it done we have not had any vomiting. The doctor shared with us that when she did the scope she could not get thru the pyloric valve
with the normal tubing scope for his size. She had to switch to a much smaller one because it was very constricted and tight. So tight that she felt he was not able to empty the contents of his stomach normally because of all the scar tissue from the H. Pyloria and the acid reflux damage. She thought that he might need a procedure to open it up. Well every since they did the scope he has not vomited at all. It has been 6 days now and he has not thrown up . I shared this with them tonite and she agreed that the valve was the issue. They were going to schedule him for a gastric emptying procedure next but feel now that is not necessary. We will hope and pray that the scope did it :) If it returns than we would go ahead with it but now it is not necessary....I was so glad to hear this.
On another update we saw a child psychologist for an evaluation for his sleep issues last Friday. I really liked her and felt she was sincere and really cared about Andrew. She felt he would benefit with what I had already researched and talked with our pediatrician about. We started him on Risperidone and we have already seen some positives to his sleep issues as well as his negative styming behaviors. The full benefit of this medicine takes a month but we are so far happy with his reaction to it. He seems happier and more content...more later on this.
He did get a bad cold over the weekend and having the intubation tube down his throat did not help . I took him to the pediatrician and she has him on an antibiotic and prednisone because she felt his throat was very swollen..He is better tonite but even with all of this he has been happier about things than he was :)
This is such great news! Praise the Lord.
