Blessed by my child and her husband....

Here is my daughter, Jenn on one of her trips to Haiti. They have some big news to share here :

http://thehambrickfamily.blogspot.com/2013/07/in-which-i-tell-you-that-we-are-moving.html

They will be moving to Haiti in September to work at a Childrens home and school. I am very excited

for them even though we will miss them. Watching your grown children follow the Lord and serve

Him is pretty awesome. Actually it is my heart's desire for all my children- that they would find their

purpose and walk that journey wherever it leads. I love them dearly and after today's sermon on

parenting. Our pastor shared from Psalm127. Children are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward

from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth. He shared about how

an arrow is made and the skill it takes to shoot the arrow off. We as parents shape the "arrows" or

children and eventually an arrow is made to be sent off or shot out. It is with our blessings that we send

out our daughter , Jenn and her husband , Jeremiah to Haiti. May the Lord richly bless all of their

efforts to share the love of Christ with the Haitians.

Loving on their "niece" Calea

I love this pic of the twins holding Calea. It shows how sweet they really are. Some days I can't believe we have these precious boys. They give us so much joy.

Our Purpose... Very Simply

Our purpose very simply stated is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts.

After living my life now for 56 and a half years the total sum of who I am or what I do or how I make my decisions in life come down to this. My purpose is to please God, not people. He alone knows my motives, my desires.

Odd post coming off of a week of emotions - joy watching my granddaughter being born and getting to know her, hope - wanting more movement with adoptions in Ghana, joy- being in the pool lots with the children- hearing " momma look, momma see" as they discover they can do. Pain- as I read comments from adults ( not always towards me) who should be able to talk without shaming or tearing down, realizing how much people even Christians , even I need you Lord. Thank you for this reminder that was on my fb page .

Two New Happenings Here

Swim lessons for Jesse and Judah.

They love swimming and we have been teaching them how to without any floats or their life jackets.

They are doing great and they are not even 3 yrs old yet.

Paul and the kids put in a tether ball this month...It is right by the big pool so after a very heated game you can jump into the pool. Although this week has been extreme heat here. The water temperature of our pools has been 94 and 96 degrees- Not very refreshing and swimming has been the only outside activity we have done all week.

Getting to know her...

The kids had rubber gloves from the hospital that got blown up. They then put them under their shirts.

First bath and everyone watched....

Do you think Keith is the new daddy :) He feel asleep on the couch. They are doing well. Today MK and Keith traded in their 7 passenger van for a 12 passenger van :)
