Our favorite Aunt Elizabeth who happens to be my daddy's only sister came up and made all of our day brighter. We have not seen her for 2 yrs because she had some health issues. One of them was she had to have her leg amputated. This was our first visit since then. It was interesting to watch their reactions. We are sort of a funny family because we have so many children with medical and orthopedic needs that we accept issues like this fairly naturally...
Lila was very funny though...She was not sure at first but quickly warmed up to Aunt Elizabeth...Once I caught her crawling on the floor around Elizabeth's wheelchair. She looked up to Ava and said, " Ava there no 2 only 1." We all died laughing at the innocent comment coming from a 3 yr old.
Lila, Ava, Gracie and Selah had fun all afternoon trying on the diff. clothes...some fit and some did not. We were blessed by her visit and wished we lived closer. They are staying at a local hotel tonite and she will be back before they have to leave Sat. am....She brought old pictures of my daddy who was the oldest in their family...and we shared memories. I was blessed with a loving family and lots of love was given to me by many aunts, uncles and grandparents as I was growing up...now I really only see her. So glad we still have her with us.
