Over the weekend Andrew was outside "discovering". One of the places he went was our trampoline. He has been on it before but this weekend he really enjoyed it. I am guessing he is getting more comfortable with movement and exploring as well as trusting us and where we place him... which is a positive move in the right direction. He would roll over and around on the ball. He actually moved himself and the ball on the back deck as well. This is a huge thing for him since there is some feelings of being afraid with lying on a ball and rolling.
His preference to stand while playing over just laying around on his side and his willingness to move around his environment might not seem big. But to a child as neglected and deprived as he was it is a huge developement and one that we are rejoicing about.
Another area that he surprised us was his desire to hold his food in his hand and taste it. In the past any introduction of any food even things we think he would love like syrup he hated... well from this picture ( I know it looks gross) but it does reflect a huge accomplishment for Andrew... He wanted us to put some of his bottle in his hand and he loved licking it off... now what a mess he makes but it is all a learning experience for him.....I really thought we might not get him moving towards not getting his food thru a bottle until next year.... once again he is surprising me.

Awe, my boy is growing up! Ok, YOUR boy....but I feel like he is 'my' boy, I just love him!
