CONGRATULATIONS! I just found your blog not to long ago and have read through most of it. I just wanted to let you know what an inspiration your family is to us. My husband and I are just starting out on this journey. We are young (in our late 20's) and have been together since teens. I always knew I would adopt and wanted a huge family. My husband wasn't so sure at first but is now more excited than I am. While we were waiting to buy our farm so that we would have lots of room to raise a large family we were hosting for a non profit that brings children to USA for medical care ( something my parents have been doing for year ). That resulted in our first unexpected adoption of our little boy and now his two sisters from Haiti. We also are waiting to hear on a sibling group of 6 that are waiting children in foster care. We plan to adopt from Africa as well in the future. I know I am rambling. I just wanted to tell you that reading your blog and seeing all the wonderful children you have adopted and how blessed you are has been so inspirational to my husband and I. I get asked all the time when we tell people are plans Why? Are you crazy? and the best Can't you have kids? to which the answer is yes. And sometimes I let their doubt start to sink in. After reading about your family I remember why I have always felt this calling. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE AND FOR BEING AN INSPIRATION TO YOUNG COUPLES LIKE US JUST STARTING OUT ON THIS JOURNEY.
