Toys and an interesting observation

The first four pictures are of Gracie's group.. notice no toys, or the one with Paul by a table is where they eat- toys are on the shelf up high, the beds are where she sleeps ( the one in the middle is hers), the pic of the pottys the orphans use
Then the next four pics are the ones across the hall that the daycare kids from the community use...notice the nice, new pottys, the colorful areas and the toy shelf where the toys can be reached by the kids and the beds are new and colorful
Why the diff. for the orphans and the community kids ???????????????????????

Wow, are you saying that kids from the area/community are in the same building? I'm confused. Thanks again for all of your information. Laurie

yes part of the building that is the orphanage is used and staffed by them for the community.. sort of like an outreach ... the money comes from a European Union group for this type of project... unfortunately the orphans could benefit as well but do not.

The reason for the difference is that the orphans don't have angry parents who want the best for their kids pressuring the director/local government.

:-( I have said it and will repeat it, based on the changes during the 7 years I spent in Hungary, after the child protection law took effect in 2001, I have great hope for things changing in Bulgaria as well. The EU deifinitely puts pressure on member states to improve inclusion and living conditions.
