Well after a week of forcing him to eat yougart and banana mushed and warmed up as well as having to hold his arms down and listening to him yell.... he will now eat a whole jar of baby food and enjoys it ! Not to bad for our sweet , little guy who hated anything new being offered on a spoon... His posture is still leaning to the side ( just like they fed all of his bottles to him in Bulgaria) but we will work on that after we get him eating a variety of baby food... and then maybe table food... I really did not think he would do this for at least another year....

I just found your blog about a week ago. Congratulations on your new family members! We are also a large adoptive family. Not as large as yours, but we are actually ready to begin another adoption. We have been looking to adopt from Ghana, but the agencies say that Ghana only allows 6 children in the home, and we have more than that. I am wondering if you could share how you were able to adopt from Ghana with a large family still at home. Thanks!

We have been able to adopt from Ghana or other countries who have made exceptions to their laws because the Lord wants us to. It has happened so many times in other countries. Did you know that Ghana also has a 3 month residency requirement for their adoptive families... and no one I know of has met that one...countries just make exceptions and in our case we have had this happen many times in many of the countries we have been able to adopt from. One other reason may be that we adopt special needs children and fortunately these exceptions have been made because for some of our children they needed to come home for life saving surgery sooner than later. I hope you will be able to adopt and if I can help you find an agency that will allow you to let me know. We use AboutAChild - they are great to work with.
