Sometimes they need a little help remembering...

Caleb and Josiah were playing out front this afternoon. They had been playing a game of football and when it dispursed they were throwing the ball around. I was watching them and I saw what looked like Caleb "jumping" Josiah and then they were fighting. It was all I could do to get out front and boy was I mad as a wet hen when I did. Long and short was they were fighting and they got in trouble for handling their frustrations with each other in this manner. Caleb was more responsible but both owned a part of it. So as part of their teaching or practicing being brothers who show affection and concern for each other they had to hold hands for the nite until bedtime....The pictures show how wonderful they felt or liked being that close to each other but by the end of the nite things were ok...

Oh my! Boys! :)
I used to make mine play board games together and spend the evening together if they were cross with each other. It always seemed to work. :)

When my girls apologize for doing something I have always asked them to show it. Actions speak louder than words! So they always hug. The hug usually starts off half hearted but then they are giggling and truly hugging. If they ever get to the age where the hug doesn't reconcile their spirits, I am going to use this! ;)
