They finally got out in the snow
I love watching my children discover something for the very first time...For Judah, Jesse and Sari it was snow. It started to snow Christmas Eve and then again the day after Christmas...but today was really the first time they went sledding...they had a blast. Even Gracie and Andrew got out. Jesse and Judah cried when we brought them in after being outside for an hour and a half .

It is the little things that makes us feel special
Sunday before Christmas our friends ( family) the Livermores- Dick and Helen and one of the Pastors at church - Pastor Lowry and his wife Robin made a run to Krumpe's . We had a wonderful visit and delicious donuts. Anyone is always welcome to drop by for a visit but, they probably do not realize how special they make us feel when they do... It feels like you are saying to all of us ," You are special enough to give my time to just be with you" It does not have to be anything big either just dropping in and being together . We thank the Lord for these opportunities to be together.

Why was Jesus born?
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. Mark 10:45
The soft, little baby hands that were on the baby born of Mary were made so that nails might be driven thru them. Those precious baby feet created in the womb of Mary would one day walk up the dusty hill to be nailed to the cross...his dear little head would have a crown of thorns placed upon it and his tender little body would be pierced by a spear....Jesus was born to die. Even though Jesus was put to death by evil men with evil intentions...the greatest victory over evil was born on Christmas day.

Celebrating the birth of Jesus was filled with.....
Snow on Christmas eve gave us a white Christmas... to remember the purity of our souls when we have given our lives to Jesus. It was special to watch Jesse, Judah and Sari experience their first snow- which they loved. Then they came in to warm up by the fire which they also loved. Jesse and Judah brought their toys and sat right by the front door to watch it snow . Sari's face as she saw the tree with all the presents was precious. It was actually "controlled chaos" as we opened presents and then an evening shot of our front walk into our home looked magical and of course I love how our mantle reminds us of the light of Jesus being born in a dark world...I hope you all had a Merry Christmas celebrating the birth of the one who truly saves and gives us all new life.

Jonas is home for the next 2 weeks. The kids are so excited about Christmas. Tonite we had the candy canes that our friends Mary and Peter gave to us and their was so much excitement after dinner just talking, sharing and being together.
