End of Summer Fun

We love our pools and used them to the very last warm day...Maybe we will get a day or 2 more of swimming before we close them for the winter. 

The end of August brought a bruised l arm for Abby and Selah broke her 2 lower bones in her arm- both from doing cartwheels and tumbling : ( 

We had company come the last week of August - Jenn and the kids came up for a week while Jeremiah finished up in Haiti. We had a wonderful visit with them and are glad to have them closer to us now.

Calea who is very picky about who holds her let Aunt Jenn hold her many times. 

We did not start our home school until after Labor Day. Summer to us is just not over until then....however last week was one of our hottest weeks of the summer so we did minimal school and lots of PE in the pool : ) We have a week and a half then off to the beach for our last summer hurrah.

She is almost 14 months and we have so much fun with her. Just can't believe she is this grown up.

Did you know we have quite a few " princesses" in our family ?

Celebrating birthdays in August...Nataly shares a birthday with our twins Jesse and Judah . So we celebrated the twins earlier as I shared. Our older girls are now all adult adults...3 of them turn 21. Since they all ( Cate, Nataly, Rachel and Leah) were all adopted as older teens they never had a little girls party. So we had a princess party for all of the older girls for Rachel and Nataly's b-day. All the older girls sat at the " Queens " table and the little ones sat at the princess table. It was a lot of fun .

I hope my older girls feel like princesses...they are all beautiful in physical and spirit. I love being their momma . They have been a blessing to us and are full of life and compassion . Happy Birthday girls ! Love you all to the moon and back.

Polly and Checkers...giving them lots of attention has really tamed them

Giving the birds lots of attention and love has made them trust...there are many children here of all ages and each one has been gentle and loving as they handled the birds. The reward for such patience and caring has been birds that the children can hold and really have a sweet relationship with. Polly and Checkers have such cute personalities too.
