Why Mya loves adoption.....

This is our daughter Mya.... she was adopted 7 yrs ago as a baby... she was only 11 lbs when she came home from Russia in January. She was almost 13 months old. She was paralyzed on her l side ... a yr later we learned it was caused by polio. She has overcome many obstacles to be able to walk now and is quite a fighter and charmer.... here are some of her ideas about adoption.... She is also going to have some major surgery on her leg on Nov. 11. They will be putting an external fixator on and will be growing her femur at least 5 to 6 cm... She will wear this for 5 to 6 months and I will be doing her physical therapy and her daily turns.. Luke also had a fixator for his orthopedic issues and now walks because of it. He was born with an arthrogryposis condition called Ptyergium Syndrom... his r leg was fully attached to his middle back like an accordian and his l leg was webbed and he had a severe clubfoot.... His surgery was 17 hours for his r leg and 14 for his l leg...he now walks with no braces or AFOs. Mya's should not be as extensive but please pray for her on Nov. 11.... we decided to go ahead with her surgery since we will not be traveling until hopefully Dec. for the kids adoption .

Mya, you are one smart cookie! :)
What a blessing to be so loved.
I can't wait until your sister and brother come home.
I hope your surgery goes very well and you get better very quickly, so you can play with your new brother and sister and your side kick Luke!
