This is why Andrew's bed is now in the middle of the room :)

We went to get him up one morning and he had been playing and discovering... which is great for him to be doing.... of course our blind was messed up and look at his smile afterwards... he knew just what he had done and loved it.
Actually we took Andrew and Mya to our pediatric neurologist at Johns Hopkins today.... Mya goes yearly since she has been home... He was the one who eventually diagnosed her as having had polio. This was our first visit with Andrew. Both had great check ups... Actually Dr. Crawford's recommendation was ," Keep doing what you all are doing. I know the best the treatment I can recommend is for them to be in your family." It is so reassuring to have the support of our doctors who see our kids.... Andrew was great. He is learning how to be positive in social environments- in his style at least.... he was quiet and a happy boy during his exam. We were gone from home from 10:40 am until 5:20 pm...and he was a happy little guy the whole time... It made me so proud of him. Of course Mya was her charming little self. Dr. Crawford has always loved Mya and it shows.... He was impressed with her muscle strength and the left leg after her fixator this year.

I've been enjoying your blog so much! We are currently in the process of adopting a sibling group of nine and our counselor keeps telling us the same thing. "Keep doing whatever you are doing!"

You all are such an encouragement!

Blessings!
