Celebrating the life of our Kloe

She loved her mini cupcakes and discovered corn on the cob for the first time...this pic was taken when we tried to take it away from her :) She chewed and sucked on it for 40 minutes.

She loves babies- what a sweet expression on her face as she stares at her baby.

It is hard to beleive that she is 1 yr old...this past year went by so fast.

They were getting ready to sing their hearts out ....for Jesus

These are some of my younger children who are in the children's choir at church. They participated in the Christmas concert Sat. nite, Sun. am and again on Sun. nite. They were terrific and they all really love singing . Gracie who is non verbal did a great job too. They sang one song and signed it and she was super....I am very proud of them tonite.Seeing the genuine smile on Sari's face just brings tears to my eyes. She has really come out and shines every day. She had such a harsh face and appearance in her pics in Ghana so when I see her smile from within it just makes me so happy.

It happens not by the numbers of people in our family but by the size of the hearts that live here

Whether it is Anna teaching Mya to knit or

the older boys, Luke and Isaiah playing with cars with Jesse and Judah....

Or posing for a picture with your younger siblings...

Or sharing momma's lap ...it does not matter here. They just love being together. We have very little sibling rivalry or jealousy. Yes, we are a huge, mega family but there always seems to be enough time or laps for everyone. People from the outside might wonder and, I even had a precious friend email me about her sw " thinking how can you give children the attention when there are 5 or more little ones ?" I say bah humbug to that sw and I invite her to stop by our home anytime....it happens not by the numbers but because of the size of the hearts that live here.

Leah and another one of her amazing abilities...

Leah is our hair dresser now. Keith's sister, Jenny taught Leah some techniques and we have seen Leah really take off with her ability to do hair. Jenny is my hairdresser and has been great about doing the kids hair or teaching Leah and we appreciate it very much - plus she is fun to be around and the girls have all enjoyed when she comes.

I have way to much gray( actually white) in my hair for a momma to 30 and young ones as little as 2 so I do color my hair...but even with Jenny helping out with the cost it got to be too expensive for me...so Leah does my color now too. Here she is cutting Anna, Olivia and Naty's hair and she did a terrific job.  Her confidence has been building and she said she would cut my hair for me the next time. I love having someone who can do things like this for the family because it saves money and when it is as good a job as a professional that is even better. I am really proud of Leah and yet another one of her amazing abilities. Aren't my girls gorgeous and their inner beauty shines thru too ?

What my kids do when there is no snow and its 65 outside...mud snowman

We had some very warm weather over the wknd. and the kids played outside lots. We had a slight chance of snow the days before the weather turned and all were hoping for some of the white stuff...especially the grand kids who were up from NC. When there is no snow for a snowman you make "chocolate" snowmen out of the mud you make....oh well they had fun and they were creative.

The wonder of it all thru the eyes of a child….

We had a Grinch party the last afternoon with the grand children....

I dipped the cups in colored sugar and filled them with ginger ale with a cherry. We popped popcorn and dipped dry lime jello in it ....and then we watched  the Grinch.

We made jingle bells and colored individual puzzles and just enjoyed being together.

I am not sure why I am so drawn to this movie. Normally I don't appreciate animated movies. The characters are weird but the little girl- Cindy Loo melts my heart. I love how she sees way more in the Grinch and helps him to see that too. I love her simple love expressed in a real way that changes the heart of many. Anyway we had a fun afternoon and now the 4 are home - 6 hrs away :( I miss them.
