Their day in pictures... for momma and daddy in NC :)

Eli started off his day with Isaac doing Bible :) He loves baby Mady and Mady wants to eat him...like she does everything else that gets that close to her mouth. Ella was coloring while Mya was finishing her school. Ezra and Eli loved the leftover pies from Mya and Ava's party. Eli and Ava trying to carry each other... Ezra had his own "tea" party and as he shared ," witf cars and french fries." Now that sounds just like a boy tea party :) Then he wanted Luke to , " tell me a secet".... and Luke did - 100 times :) and of course the "princesses had their own tea party... I filled the sugar bowl 2 times...lots in their tea and all over the table . The best part of Paw Paws day was being greeted by these princesses when he came home:)
Are we having too much fun ?

Beautiful location and beautiful children getting a home.....See the progress

It takes so little but helps so much... Please consider helping a child from Ghana find their forever family........Go here to this link to meet some of the children. Beautiful children waiting for a momma and a daddy to love them. You can also help to build an orphanage/school . Go to this link to donate.

Looks like the perfect place to eat your ice cream cone

This table which also makes the Tangled tower was the perfect place for Mya to eat her ice cream cone the other nite. I shop after Christmas sales and always find some bargins... My closet is full with b-day gifts for next year and some things for our new 3 from Ghana. Anyone else find some bargins after Christmas ?

We have some company :)

Last nite Jenn called unexpectantly to say she was feeling sick and would we mind helping out ? What do you think we said ? Of course not... watch the kids with out their parents --- a Paw Paw and Nana's dream come true :) So Paul met Jeremiah half way and they came home at midnite to us.....Funny how you never know how your week is going to go... Let me just say it is alot noisier and active with the addition of our 3 gbabies from NC but we are loving it. The kids have been super today and ever since Ava came this am I have hardly seen my grand girls and Mya. They did agree to pose for me by the Tangle tower but off they ran to play upstairs.....This swing we bought Andrew is a favorite of the boys and of course they love the puppies....Josiah thought this am that Eli needed to learn all about Josiah's favorite football team... Eli was not to interested though.
We realized today that the ages of Ella, Ezra and Eli are right around the same ages as our 3 children in Ghana....My degree in college was early childhood education and to be around 2, 3 , 4 and 5 yr olds is heaven to me.

Two of my princesses....celebrated their b-days today

I tell you it is so hard to deny these 2 anything ...They have me and many others wrapped around their finger as they say. Today we celebrated Mya's 9th b-day and Ava's 4th b-day. Mya has been home now for almost 8 yrs...She was just 11 lbs at almost 13 months when she came home and was "failing to thrive". She was paralyzed and we were told that if we did not adopt her then in January she would not have made it to even the summer. Each year we celebrate her b-day is really celebrating her life. A life that has overcome so much and a life that blesses anyone who meets her.
Ava is my second "grand" daughter and to spend time with any of my grandkids is such joy. To celebrate her life is joy beyond containment....to hear them having fun, being excited about their b-day, anticipating fun and good times with the family is a blessing.

Happy New Year... and it was a happy one for us.

Sleeping bags, pillows, food and more food and candy too...Paul slept downstairs with the kids for a sleep out in the sunroom ( watching the movie Despicable Me ). Ava spent the nite with us too. She and I snuggled in bed at 10 ( I can't stay awake for the ball drop) and we ate some more and today all the boys went to Keith's family for a 4 hr Nerf gun battle while I took the girls to Walmart to spend some of their gift card money. Tonite we barbecued and finished with Bible and to bed early....
Ben , Joseph and I are doing a 52 day Bible study together in the evenings now. We have done 3 nites and it is amazing already the transformation of our hearts to being open to the Lord's will. Ben had a really neat experience of change tonite and I am very proud of his willingness to make things right....Prayer and time spent with the Lord do make a difference.
