We ate blizzards at Dairy Queen today in support of DQ's support of a hospital in Washington DC that has helped many of our children... We have done several surgeries at Children's National Medical Center and we are pleased to help them out for fundraising... Last year we got the dk. blue shirts and this year it was the orange ones.... Thank you to Dairy Queen for your support to a medical center that has helped our family personally. Everyone thought it was a good idea... and DQ gave a dollar to CNMC for every blizzard sold.

We spend a lot of time at Children's National Medical Center...()we could car pool).
We noticed last week that it has a new name - The Sheik something or other Center for children's Medical Needs.
Actually we do not use them as much now as we did.. We go to Johns Hopkins now. We have 4 children with cleft lips/palates and our son, Josiah had his kidney surgery done there. We now go to Hopkins cleft clinic. I know other families who use their cardiology dept.... but we have always used Hopkins for that.Even our pediatrician though said Children's is known for their cardiology dept.... I have not heard about the name change...our briefing memo on the DQ day still stated the old name.
