We have had a wonderful weekend... Molly and Mike were married on Friday and Saturday we had their reception at Greentop Park ( right next to Camp David where Obama was spending the weekend- the park was closed except for our wedding :) Which made it interesting because we kept seeing men in the woods looking at us... very unusual. Yesterday's weather was low 70's and sunny. A beautiful day for the reception in the mountains. They left today for their honeymoon and we decided to skip church and go to the Air Show at the Air National Guard in Martinsburg. A great idea because it was not very crowed at first until after noon. It was amazing to watch the planes, helicopters, all the servicemen/women- lots of respect for them ! In one of the hangers was a children's area for mostly free activities for the kids like making planes, getting tatoos, meeting greyhound dogs, and mega bubbles using plastic clothing hangers ( great idea). Our favorite was watching all the planes though. For some of the kids just riding on the bus from the HC parking area to the show was thrill enough since they all are home schooled and never get to ride a bus :) Climbing on the tanks, and looking in the other vehicles that our service people use was interesting as well.... Lots of discussion about how "cool" it was and lots of respect for the men and women in uniform. I love that the kids think and want to shake their hands or smile at them....One of the best parts for a family our size was that it was all free.. there was some options to pay to do some other things but our kids were happy with what we did for free... and a late lunch at McDonalds.... Jenn and her kids were with us as well as Keith and Mary Kate and their kids were there...The weather was again a beautiful day ! Wedding pictures will be posted when I get them... Jenn was the photographer and so I did not take our camera....
