WHY? is on my heart today

I very rarely have mornings that I wake up with a heavy heart, but this am I knew I would. You ask me why ? Because this am at 7:30 at the Ghana embassy we were suppose to have our scheduled embassy exit visit for the children's visas...but we did not. I am not at liberty to share all just yet. It is nothing related to our case specifically just the passports of the children were not ready and we were asked for extra money to have them completed in the middle of what they say is a passport change??? It helps me to process thru these times in adoption when things are a hurdle or things unexpected come up to share them. Does it help the situation- no I don't think my feelings matter to any authority or person in the Ghana process but it helps me relieve the ache in my heart to have my children home. I know there are lots of you who have experienced the same things in your adoptions. Many of you have also experienced the unexpected in your lives not even related to adoptions ...Truth be told- We all have. Just imagine the people of Japan on Thursday did not expect what was going to happen to them on Friday.
In one of my devotions this am this is what I read :
What God is doing you may not know now,
But someday you'll understand why :
Questions that taunt you and trouble your mind
Will one day have heaven's reply. -- Hess

Another devotional I have spoke of on a previous post was another encouragement to me as well. I hope it is for you too.
Learn to live above your circumstances. This requires focused time with Me, the One who overcame the world. Trouble and distress are woven into the very fabric of this persishing world. Only My Life in you can empower you to face this endless flow of problems with good cheer.
As you sit quietly in My Presence, I shine Peace into your troubled mind and heart. Little by little, you are freed from earthly shackles and lifted up above your circumstances. You gain My perspective on your life, enabling you to distinguish between what is important and what is not. Rest in My Presence, receiving Joy that no one can take away from you.
John16:33 I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
I know today that I must spend some quiet time with my Lord and reflect on Him to settle my ache and feelings of pain for situations I can't control. I hope as you struggle too you can as well. In our busy lives sometimes it is hard to "get away " to spend time with Him.

I am so sorry that your children must wait even longer to join their family. Praying that something happens to speed up the process to bring your babies home.

Needless delays!! Will we ever understand?! I will be praying this mountain is lifted and their passports and visas will be issued soon!!!

Saying a prayer for all of you. Your little ones are probably ready to come home to you and waiting, for a child, seems more difficult! Let all the rest of the process be EXPEDITED, in Jesus name!

I love that quote from Hess. I pray that you will get your children home soon. It has been so long! :( But God has a reason! We just went through thinking things were NOT going to happen, settled it in our hearts and gave it over to him, and then, a few months later, we got the call for the very same child....we were shocked. God has a reason for this. HUGS!
