Don't bemoan the loss of comfort...Accept the challenge of something new....

Trust Me, and don't be afraid. Many things feel out of control. Your routines are not running smoothly. You tend to feel more secure when your life is predictable. Let Me lead you to the rock that is higher than you and your circumstances. Take refuge in the shelter of My wings, where you are absolutely secure.

When you are shaken out of your comfortable routines, grip My hand tightly and look for growth opportunities. Instead of bemoaning the loss of your comfort, accept the challenge of something new. I lead you on from glory to glory, making you fit for My kingdom. Say yes to the ways I work in your life. Trust Me, and don't be afraid.  Isaiah 12:2, Psalm 61: 2-4, 2 Corinthians 3 :18.

I am not sure why I am writing this but felt today's devotion was important to share for someone. I am at a place ( for now) of peace and do not feel like things are out of control. So I hope someone who reads my blog is encouraged by my sharing this. It is from one of my devotions called, Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. I love how it feels just like Jesus is talking to me....

It was for us!!
We are in Ukraine attempting to adopt 4 teens, need I say more? If it can go wrong, it does. But we know God is in control and holding us all in the palm of His hand.

You know what else? If it was up to me today I'd jump on the next airplane headed west and be home where things are predictable and I have a false sense of control. :)

But we won't, He called us here and we will be faithful and stay the course. I know you can relate...God Bless you for sharing your family's heart through this blog, it blesses and encourages me so much!
